WELCOME TO THE
2020 WINTER CONFERENCE ON BRAIN RESEARCH


The 2020 Winter Conference on Brain Research (WCBR) will be held
January 25 - 30, 2020* in Big Sky, MT.


*The opening reception will be Saturday evening, January 25 and the closing reception/banquet will be Thursday, January 30, 2020.
The scientific content begins with the opening Keynote Breakfast on Sunday, January 26 and ends Thursday evening, right before the closing reception. 

The mission of the Winter Conference on Brain Research (WCBR) is to provide a forum for the dissemination of all aspects of neuroscience at an annual meeting that offers cutting-edge science in formal sessions within a relaxed networking environment amenable to all.

Listed below are the registration categories and criteria from the 2019 meeting.

 
Eligibility
Everybody is welcome to attend the 2020 Winter Conference on Brain Research! You do not have to be a presenter in a panel or poster to register for the meeting. However, presenters are eligible for the discounted rate.
 
Registration Categories
*Exhibitor registration: please contact WCBR’s Executive Office by emailing info@winterbrain.org directly if you are interested in exhibiting at the 2020 Winter Conference on Brain Research.  There is 
ample opportunity for attendees to network with exhibitors during the four poster sessions, Tuesday through Friday, as well as the poster award reception on Friday evening. WCBR brings together investigators and clinicians from around the world to present and discuss their latest significant research or clinical contributions to our understanding of the brain and behavior.  

STUDENT PRESENTER: use this registration category if you meet both of the following criteria.
 (1) you are a student currently enrolled in an accredited bachelors, masters, or doctoral program who carried out the neuroscience research as part of their degree program 
 (2) you are a participant in a submitted panel or you are the presenting author of a submitted poster abstract for the 2020 Winter Conference on Brain Research
 
 PRESENTER: use this registration category if you meet any one of the following three criteria.
 (1) 2020 presenter: you are a participant in a submitted panel or you are the presenting author of a submitted poster abstract for the 2020 Winter Conference on Brain Research
 (2) Recent presenter: you gave an oral presentation in a panel at the 2019 or 2018 Winter Conference on Brain Research (previous poster presenters do not qualify)
 (3) Alumnus presenter: you attended 10 or more previous Winter Conference on Brain Research meetings
 
NON-PRESENTER: use this registration category if you do not qualify as a presenter or student presenter as delineated above.

All attendees, including presenters, pay the registration fee.

Your registration includes the following meal functions:
Saturday Opening Reception, Monday and Tuesday Refreshment Breaks, Sunday-Thursday Breakfasts, Wednesday Mountain Lunch, Wednesday Special Poster Reception, and Thursday Closing Banquet.


Cancellation Policy: 
A partial refund will be honored before December 20, 2019, less a $150 service fee. No refunds after December 21, 2019.
Substitutions are allowed at any time.

BIG SKY RESORT
All conference activities will take place at the Big Sky Resort

HOTEL INFORMATION
To receive the $200 room block discount, you must stay within the WCBR room block at the Big Sky Resort. The WCBR room block at the Big Sky Resort will open in late summer of 2019. 

SKI INFORMATION
Information regarding Lift Tickets, Rentals, Lessons, and Off-Slope Activities will be available in late summer.

SESSIONS
Once again, WCBR will feature these special sessions:
  • Pioneer Sessions - Special daytime panels featuring historical perspectives coupled with fresh approaches on cutting-edge basic and applied topics.
  • Brain Talk Town Hall - An evening session open in which cutting edge science is presented to the public. 
  • Short Courses 

TRANSPORTATION

Big Sky Resort is located approximately one hour south of Bozeman International Airport (BZN). There are a variety of transportation services that conveniently deliver guests to all accommodations booked through Big Sky Central Reservations. The Bell Staff is available 24 hours a day to assist with luggage and directions to units. Please note that at this time, rideshare apps are not a reliable mode of transportation in the Big Sky area due to lack of drivers.

Discounted shuttle information will be available in late summer 2019.
